New Scottish Networking Evening
I have arranged an evening of informal networking here in
Scotland. The first event will be held at The Veranda
Room, Norton
House Hotel at Ingliston, Edinburgh, and will take place on
Monday 22nd November from 7pm onwards. Like Peter’s London events,
I am arranging for a couple of short talks from local experts
from the financial and property services sector and the space
is restricted to 35-40 people. We will need to levy a charge
of £10 per person to cover room hire, speakers’ expenses
and admin, but tea, coffee and biscuits will be included,
and for those who prefer a wee dram or two, the bar is
next door.
Norton House is a beautiful country hotel set within acres
of fields and woodlands and is minutes from Edinburgh Airport,
the
M8 and Edinburgh City Bypass, so access should not be a
problem for anyone. To book a place, interested parties
should contact
me,
Clare
Darwish, direct by e-mail on clare@lanarkshireletting.co.uk
or call 01899 309016.

Mark Sawyer of The Property Association announces:
New French Leaseback Deals
Guaranteed yield, picture postcard location and free holiday
time, in a very real part of France. TPA’s latest
exclusive French leaseback is in one of the most beautiful
and tranquil
locations we have seen. Just an hour from the south coast.
In the heart of a national park and surrounded by no
less than four
lakes, lies this outstanding location. Only a handful
of cabin-style country dwellings are being constructed
to
blend in with the
surroundings of this ancient and unspoilt countryside.
You can explore hundreds of miles of cycle routes, bridle
paths
and woodland
walks, all of which are quite literally on your front
door step.
Investing
in the French countryside is a very shrewd move. As these developments
mature in appearance, capital
growth
increases.
This is because demand for mature country retreats
is always very high. What's more, prices are very low for
the area.
All of these cabins are between £65,000 and £75,000
and you can get up to 80% funding. You can also reserve
now for 5%
(plus TPA fees) and pay nothing more until February
2005, with delivery next summer. This means that your
guaranteed
rents
will start during the high season and you can enjoy
your own summer
holiday in France. Alternatively, you can increase
your revenue by selling your free holiday allocation.
One more bonus: the stunning Mediterranean beaches of Valras
Plage are only an hour away. Please note that there are only
28 available to the UK market, all of which are exclusive to
The Property Association members.

Kind regards and best wishes,
Mark Sawyer

And
now another great deal from Jonty & Alise Crossick of
Ready 2 Rent, written as a postcard whilst visiting
(I should have gone with them, but had some ghastly paperwork
to sign):
15% Off Prague Apartments
We are writing from Prague in the Czech Republic. We are excited
to present to you another thoroughly researched
development called Petrohradska based in Vrsovice in Prague
10, a strong residential
area with a shortage of new apartments. Once
again it is great to be in Prague. We always feel at home here.
There
is
a strong
feeling of hope and optimism in this country.
Now
that the shackles of communism have been firmly discarded
and parliamentary
democracy
established, the people are getting on with one
of the activities
people like to get on with - making money. Here
is your chance to share in some of their prosperity. And in
a country
where
economic growth is being achieved each year,
foreign companies are investing and incomes are rising, there
is
only one
way that property prices are going - and that is up!
Alise
and I believe
in this country’s future and invite you to build your wealth
by investing in Central Europe’s burgeoning
business centre. Here are some highlights:
*Prices
are discounted 15% below their market value!
*Prices include car parking for most apartments.
*Yields of up to 9.5%.
*Prices start at £59,321.
*Only 57 apartments in total, so your ability to rent or sell
is made easier.
*Top NASDAQ-listed, blue chip Engel Group are the developers.
*Capital growth of 10%-15% per annum is estimated.
*Apartments are ready by December this year, or January 2005.
*Excellent transport links into the historic city centre.
*Trams and buses only 100 metres away from the development.
*Located in a strong residential neighbourhood with plenty of
amenities and greenery.
*Czech Republic joined the EU this year.
*Mortgages
in place - valuations already done, enabling investors to borrow
72% of the purchase price.
As
usual, Ready 2 Rent has established the full team to support
you in your investment.
We have
lawyers
in place
and a Czech
national Jednatel to operate your company.
A Jednatel is a Czech director, as you need a company to
buy the property. The company is already
set up
and ready
to transfer
into your name. We have accountants
in place. Also the letting and managing agents are in place.
And the mortgage brokers are also in situ.
All the
ingredients are therefore ready for you
to make a shrewd, profitable and hassle-free
investment in one of Europe’s
most dynamic economies.
The Ready 2 Rent e-brochure includes all the information you could need to make
a decision. It will also be posted on our internet site http://www.ready-2-rent.co.uk under Investment Opportunities. Call Ready 2 Rent on 01273 609 267 to reserve
your apartment or ask further questions.

The
Positive Club
A monkey that had climbed on the roof
of a house summoned all the passers by.
He made great gestures, rolled up its lips,
made the clown, joining Pirouettes and making
funny faces specific of its nature.
Soon a crowd piled up to the house, and an
external observer saw all the faces raised
towards the monkey, split by a great smile.
After the monkey had left, an ant-eater who
would've given anything for a bit of popularity,
took its place on the roof and tried to imitate
the monkey.
In a few minutes the crowd had dispersed.
Scarcely had the ant-eater succeeded in making
some teeth squeak and making fun of the curious,
he was trying to imitate the monkey and dislocated
a leg as well as broke several tiles.
"Go back to your den you will be more useful
there!" they shouted at him or still: "who called
you, ant-eater, to make us laugh, you're not really
that gifted."
The owner of the house was furious and sent
2 servants armed with brooms to thrash the intruder.
The only thing that the ant-eater got for trying
to imitate the monkey was a broken leg, a pressed
horn and bruises all over, which amused the monkey.
